In 2014, the U.S. passed the 2014 Farm Bill, raising federal restrictions on the sale of hemp-based items. This inspired states that are many enact policies legalizing the sale of hemp — and for that reason CBD. Then, in December 2018, Congress passed the 2018 Farm Bill, eliminating hemp through the Controlled Substances Act, rendering it appropriate for hemp-based services and products containing handful of THC (including CBD) become offered in most 50 states.
